Taro Tsuruta will be giving a lecture at Tessa Blackstone Lecture Theatre 0003 the University of Greenwich, this Thursday 28th October 2021 starting at 6:30 pm.
In the lecture titled “ Hands and Minds”, he will be talking about the practice’s work underpinned by two interests, Hands-product delivery, and Minds-memory/storytelling through everyday experiences as an architect.

Our project, Wooden Roof has been selected as a winner of the RIBA Regional Award 2021 as well as the RIBA London Small Project of the Year 2021. We are humbled to be recipients along with the other brilliant projects. It is the smallest project and has hit two awards!

Our recent project, Wooden Annex, has been featured on Architecture Today's website.
The structure, a slab-on-stud arrangement, uses a waffle slab fabricated from plywood sheets that span in two directions, which reduces by at least 30% the timber volume used to form the roof compared to using traditional timber joists or a CLT slab.

Taro Tsuruta will be giving an open lecture at Broadcasting place Block B level 5 Leeds School of Architecture, Leeds Beckett University starting at 5pm. In the lecture titled “ File to Site”, he will be talking about his projects that have been exploring the customisation of building elements from furniture to structure on a conventional building site with the help of digital fabrication.
